The Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ allows you to connect M.2 peripherals like NVMe drives and AI accelerators to the Raspberry Pi 5’s PCIe 2.0 interface, offering fast data transfer rates of up to 500 MB/s. The interface, exposed via a 16-pin, 0.5mm-pitch FPC connector, is adapted by the M.2 HAT+ M Key, a mechanical adapter board that supports M.2 M key edge connector devices in the 2230 and 2242 form factors, providing up to 3A of power to connected devices. This HAT conforms to the Raspberry Pi HAT+ specification and is autodetected by the latest Raspberry Pi software and firmware. It comes with a 16mm stacking header and threaded spacers, allowing it to be fitted to a Raspberry Pi 5 even with the Raspberry Pi Active Cooler in place.
